Nice Pic. Was just looking at this line on Google and realized this was the second Line Change here. A early line was further up the hillside and took a route over a pass to the west that the line now tunnels under.

That even older line was probably the 600mm gauge military railway which existed before the standard gauge line was built. Remainders of that line can be found in quite a few places, e.g. see the pillars in the river bed in this picture.
