Somewhere under the grime that caboose is probably blue. Again, clothing details are interesting to note from a model railroader's point of view.

This caboose would most likely match any of the blue diesels then in use. It seemed that the railroad would only apply paint to their locomotives when it was necessary to send them in for major shopping. With many GP-7s and 9s running with as built paint schemes which were so faded that the factory applied primer paint was easily seen.
