Wow! Beautiful shot and landscape! Great use of light to bring out the color in the flora!

Great shot Eric it has all the right ingredients and as a farmer I like the use of the location to tie it all together. I will also add that is very unlikely "young corn plants" for two reasons, one corn is planted in a row fashion and not a broadcast pattern like the fields seen and it would be highly unlikely for corn to be that tall this early as planting would usually take place mid April at the earliest to mid to end of May and it would take a week for the corn to sprout and wouldn't achieve that height by now. That is probably a winter cover crop or a "green manure" that helps in soil erosion and builds the organic matter in the soil which may be plowed or tilled under but more and more farmers are planting through the cover crop in a no till or minimum till fashion to benefit the soil and the farmers expenses. It's a great spot to catch trains as the unobstructed view is great, nice composition!

Very nice photo... certainly worthy of the recognition. Nevertheless, I think you overdid it with the caption. Great photos tell their own story, and the beauty of it is that no two people will 'read' the same exact story, and that's what makes it special.

Well done Eric....evocative and peaceful. Makes me want to lay down in the grass under the sun and take a nap, onlly to be awoken by the occasional passing train....Well deserved accolades.

Absolutely perfect picture in my estimation! The girl sitting under the tree adds a nice touch also. Almost puts me in mind of a Norman Rockwell painting.

It's a twist on so many paintings of a boy watching the distant trains from up on the hillside under a tree. And I like it!

Beautiful photo Eric. Are you a writer? Love your caption.

Eric, If this site had a prize for scene description you would win the award. Your other good write up was the station with the twin towers blue lights at night. Well done.
