Nice shot; GP38's are one of my favorite diesels, right after the ALCO RS series.

I think the Altoona shops have a little fire damage to fix.

This is just one of several locomotives damaged in a roundhouse fire at Conrail's West Detroit Yard, also known as Livernois Yard or John Kronk Yard. It is a former Michigan Central facility, and a massive one at that. One end of the roundhouse pretty much burned to the ground but I don't recall if the entire structure was destroyed. I can still remember the smell of the burned timbers.
