Great shot! I didn't realize they were already using welded rail in the 60's, I always thought it didn't come around till the 70's sometime.

I believe that this is actually a west bound train that is going downhill just east of Myersdale, Pa. There appears to be a P on the signal in the distance- the B&O's indication of a grade signal.

Mark, I think you are right. That should be downhill going westbound.
