A direct carry over from Walt Disney's "Live Steam" backyard railroad. Also let's not forget the Disney Cartoon that featured Chip and Dale (chipmunks) operating in the cab of Donald Duck's backyard railroad. Avery nicely composed shot Michael, thinks for your post.

WDW offers one of the most unique transportation systems found anywhere. Even the steam train is part of the system transporting visitors from one part of the Magic Kingdom to the other.

We were there back in Dec, and took the 3 hour train tour. Great behind the scenes look at the operations as well as the hisory of the how the train came to be. It starts at 7:30 am before the park opens, and is well worth the time & money.
