Nicely posed with the yellow flowers in the foreground. Beautiful paint job, NS! I'm betting this engine's fan base is heavily concentrated in VA, where it could best call home.

Wow! Every one seems better than the last...fantastic job Casey and NS!

Ok, this is OFFICIALLY my favorite. As you can see from my screen name, I'm a VGN railway fan. I love this paint scheme. I have a model of an FM Trainmaster is these colors that is just gorgeous! Many thanks to NS for including this one.

The bright sunlight and yellow dandelions make this photo really pop! Growing up in SW Virginia in the late '60's and early '70's along the N&W and ex-Virginian, this bright paint scheme would have seemed like something from another world. Unlike today's modern mergers, when home-road paint schemes often linger for many years (like ATSF and BN units on BNSF), N&W's merger fleet was all grimy black.

This one is a real winner! A first rate "heritage unit" to recognize a class act railroad!

All it needs is a FM OP prime mover for the sound effects.

Well the NS seems to be one railroad that doesn't want to chase away railfans, but rather wants to attract them. Kudos to NS management for splurging on so many beautiful paint schemes. Hey BNSF, are you listening?

21st century Trainmaster...looks great. Keep it up NS.

Proof that a great paint scheme never goes out of style. Like many , I look forward to this one leading a coal train out of South Yard in roanoke and "down the Virginian."

I did get to ride behind Trainmansters on a 1973 excursion from Roanoke to Mullens. They were great locomotives.
