Oh my...that's brutal. But what a fabulous photo and a look back in time Joe.

Joe... Dave Blaze took the words right out my mouth. You don't mention injuries or deaths, and hopefully, everyone survived this collision? Was also wondering if you have any photos you can share of the 270C? It would be interesting to see how well that unit fared in this ordeal.

So...can you fix it or not?

There were two minor injuries resulting from this collision, but thankfully, nothing serious. I do have a photo of the 270C. It looks just like the 213L in this photo except that it did not break in two. However, the frame is bent at the same location as 213's break. There are more photos and information about this wreck in my book WARBONNETS AND BLUEBONNETS (Santa Fe in Texas), pages 168-169. I do have one additional photo of this affair and if the screeners accept it, it will appear later.

Wow, that looks like the result of a major impact. Poor F-unit. Anybody hurt in this one?

Pre-CF7 rebuild program? ;-)

The words "BE CAREFUL" on the right front of that flat car seem a bit ironic in that picture.

This may be the most interesting photo I have ever seen here on RP! I have never seen anything this dramatic, yet no person lost their life (thankfully)!

What a shot, great lighting too, reminds me of something from a Godzilla movie, thanks for sharing.

That is cool.

1960's version of a safety cab?

Joe, great work as a photographer. You were there, you got the right angle, you got the hard hats, you got the symmetrical cranes, and all in sweet low yellow light. Amazing. I tip my hat to you!
