I like the updates, the original seemed a bit plain. This adds a nice touch to the nose, in my opinion.

New nose job looks much better. Second favorite after Reading unit.

"Oh yeah, baby!" Now that's the REAL Lehigh Valley! I have to admit, when this unit was released, I was disappointed that the nose wasn't right, but I'm not paying for the paint job. So grin and bear it...or so I thought. Wow - now that's a crowd pleaser! Thank you so much, NS, for making it right!

Definitely an improvement.

The sweetest of the group!

Now THAT's a Lehigh Valley unit.

Reminiscent of LV's repainted Alco C628's. Clearly, NS cares about how these units look. A nice improvement!

Good seeing you again today Casey, See you in N.C. for the big event.
|
What was already a great scheme became even better. Perfect to me.

A huge Thank You to the ARHS members who actually paid for the new decals. Your efforts have finally made this a "true" LV unit. Nice Job!

This heritage unit program just keeps getting better. Excellent job on the nose upgrade. It truly feels like the LV lives again. I saw the PRR unit at Lancaster last week, and that was a treat, but if I see 8104 go through Macungie this weekend, it'll make my Father's Day!

Such a great treat to see these colors on the rails again!! To bad I live in Cali and can only see these heritage units in photos. Cant wait to see the others being released shortly. I do wish there was room for a "snowbirds" Lehigh paint scheme.

I hate NS, but I have to salute them. Fantastic job so far. I think that a locomotive with the current paint scheme absolutely has to be included in this heritage program. Thanks NS!

Now they just need to get the font corrected on the billboard lettering on the sides, and put this unit on dedicated milk runs on the Lehigh Line on intermodal trains, and all will be right with the world.
