Does the aft one have black painted walkways as different the forward one, or is that a collection of grime?

My best guess is that the SD40-2 is in EMD factory paint and has black walkways. The SD45 has been repainted by the Frisco and they didn't bother. Conrail painted their walkways black with a roller after all the spray painting was done. Perhaps Frisco didn't think it was worth the extra step.

I'm enjoying the Frisco pics. Frisco doesn't seem to get much coverage for some reason.
