That train, or rather, that consist is one of the most fascinating in Brazil and possibly anywhere in the world. The green tarpaulins you see frequently carry a different message with each railcar such as the English equivalent of "Protect the environment", "Stop Child and Slave labor", "Recycle", etc. Watching the entire train roll by is the equivalent of reading a long if uneven message. I'm not really a "tree-hugger" (as some in the U.S. call environmentalists) but I am involved with ministries in Brazil working to protect vulnerable kids, and salute the shipper (Votorantim? - I'm sure the company is based in that São Paulo state city, but it might be the corporate name as well) for these messages.
