Also, the C18 works in notches 1-2, 8 while the C175 works notches 3-8

NS these days sorta remind me of the way Union Pacific were back in the 60's when they would give anything a try and there were a bunch of experimental and "odd" looking locos roaming the system trying out new technology and design ideas.
