Interestingly, this is one of the newest steam engines in the stable, having been built in the MWRC shops in 1972. At least she still looks like a steam engine. The #8 is 11 years newer than the 10 and was the first of the 7 engines to be retired. The 8 sits out in the weeds in back of the shop, stripped of every appliance that had any value.
