Crazy Eh?

Nick: The prominent hill in the background was a key player during the Plum Creek floods on the Joint Line in June 1965. The late John Norwood III was then D&RGW Divn. Supt. and was sent by helicopter to assess the flood damage for both the D&RGW and AT&SF. On that west face in your photo, a waterspout hit that hill, wreaking all kinds of washout damage to the northbound main, he told me. His reconnaissance negatives are at the Douglas County Library.

Beautiful lighting, Nick. I always enjoy your work, and this one is certainly no exception.
