When I saw the thumbnail I thought "what the...?"

Very interesting, but I assume those locomotives do not MU together! Hopefully, the C36-7i units also still remain in service up to now?

There are about 35 C36-7i units in service now.

Why is Estonian Railways getting rid of the C36-71's?
Posted by RL on December 8, 2012
Well, that is not true. They are working and continue to work. But all ex-Conrail C30-7Ai's are out of service due to lack of freight traffic.

I think the Estonian Railways needs too replace all of the ex-Russian locomotives with all American GE locomotive's like for ex- Union Pacific C40-8 GE locomotives and also get some ex- Dash-8 -40B and ex-BNSF Dash-9 locomotives that are sitting in the dead line on the BNSF in the United States of a America.

There is no need for that. Although latvian railways is considering to purchase new TE33A locos from Kasakhstan (based on GE ES44AC).

Will Estonia get some of the T33A's you know the (GE ES44AC's) for the railways in Estonia?

Probably not. At least not in the near future.
