What does "WITNESS GROOVE" mean? And where are the fridge, hot plate, and microwave located?

I believe just to the left of that chain hanging off the Independent brake. It reminds me of when I go to the yearly Auto Show in New York, after a couple of days the Manual shift knobs are all gone.

Below the brake handles, lower left corner (the two black squares, one without a knob).

The hot plate and fridge are located on the conductors side, and the microwave is down in the short nose.

Not on these, the idiots put the microwave right behind the conductor's seat, so you can't lean back or stretch out and the engineer can't cook anything with the conductor getting up. Anyone from GE on here know why?

Oh stop complaining about where they put the microwave! Some of us have to crank up the sidewall heaters to cook our food!
