My first entry of this photo album. I realized we have a class of people who have worked for us, driving the passenger, freight and locals without whom our nation wouldn't be what it is. My first days as a gandy, setting torpedoes for the safety of our work crew to protect us, introduced me to the engineers who drove a weekly local for the Northern Pacific. This picture reminded me of the hard work, long hours and often unrecognized people whom we should honor.
