A tell tale sign of a bankrupt railroad. A shame to see such fine equipment in such haggered condition. Your right, I never seen a red P in the PC logo before. I wonder if anyone can explain.

The "red P" logo was used on repaints during April-May 1968. and it was applied to about 136 locomotives, plus some freight cars. Before and after that period, PC's standard on locomotives was the all-white logo, except for a group of GP40s delivered new in late 1968 that came with an "orange C" logo.
