I never get tired of looking at what is arguably Raymond Loewy's greatest design. A hundred years from now, they will look at a GG1 and still think "wow, that's beautiful."

Wonderful scene, well executed!

I miss the deep resinating whine and clickity-clack of the GG-1's I used to hear when visiting relatives in the Philly area. We would stand at a safe distance alongside the tracks and then scamper as they came by. The approach of something big and black, that rumbles and causes the ground to shake would strike fear even in resident children who were accustomed to them.

At first, I assumed this was from the most recent charter, but evidently that's not the case! Nevertheless, a nice scene and I look forward to seeing what you captured at the most recent event.

Beautiful! I wish I could have been a witness to see a GG-1 in operation. I fully believe that the GG-1 is the most beautiful electric locomotive ever made. Also it has to be the best locomotive with the most style and grace. Thank-you for posting this!
