Neat.... I am an equipment operator for CN, and run a winter ballast regulator. With all the snow, these machines seem to keep up do the job. CN maintains a jordan spreader in these parts incase and for the past 3 winters I have been working its only been used a few times on the mainline. IE: 425870 The Nordco brooms/regulators have quite a bit of juice, and sadly the bigger relic equipment is seldom used anymore.

How in the world does that thing get around curves with that much overhang without taking the pusher engine off the track?

What is the reason for so much overhang over that back truck? Something to do with weight distribution of balancing the heavy front end?
