Excellent photograph! There's a great video out there of a long freight near this spot from 1999 as well. Read a recent online newspaper article that some traveling in Fort Collins (hopefully not with the aid of liquid refreshment) still forget that the railroad doesn't run with the rails perfectly flat with the Mason Street pavement like they were early last year, and will get their cars stuck turning onto where the street used to be, wedging their vehicle underbody on the now-uneven-with-grade tracks.

This was probably the 2001 Convention as in 1999 the AAPRCO convention was in Tampa, FL.
