I’ve seen many posts on RP indicating that the signals in the pic are due to be replaced shortly. Can anyone answer why this is so? ..the only reason a layman like me can think of would be equipment standardization. BTW, nice pic Jim.

Thanks Paul. System standardization is part of it. Tehachapi will be seeing upgrades in the near future such as additional main track in several areas and Positive Train Control implementation. These signal replacements are part of the on-going modernization of the Mojave Sub.
