Posted by FrankB on April 6, 2013  This model diesel was built as GP40 originally, then later the GP40-2 version with modular electronics. There is no such thing as a GP40-1. Posted by Brandon Smith on April 7, 2013  Not out of EMD their isn't but ISRR has always called these GP40-1's. Why I do not know.
