The old Milwaukee Road "triple Nickel"...when I was kid the Milwaukee purchased the 2211...during my formative years it became the 511....when I was and Engineer for the Milwaukee it was transformed from the 511 with 4R money to the 555 or an SD10 rebuild which never really caught on. I remember having it right out of the rebuid on the Tosa Patrol for shake down runs before it was sent to the Dakotas....It's good to see the old Special Duty friend again and thanks for the memories Brandon......carry on "Triple Nickel."

555 and 560 were sold to the Indiana Railroad by the DM&E in the late 1990's.

Great catch & Nice shot! I'm glad I got the chance to shoot the SD19.

Great to see pics like this with the comments about the engine/train. Couldn't find much more info about SD10s but found hints that they were SD7-rebuilds. Want to say thanks for the pic and the comments...makes for a very interesting website. Each pic brings a little history into my home and a little enjoyment into this 'ole gandy's life.

Interesting, thanks for the info! Hopefully these units do not have an appointment with the cutting torch anytime soon. They have not moved from this location in quite sometime...

I spy the ILLINIANA map on the 5-cubed unit! These 2 units look like B&M heritage by the paint scheme.
