I'll believe it when I see it. The basic colors of that unit are from around 1975, from a railroad that has been defunct for over 20 years. SOO, a CP Subsidiary did nothing, so if CP does anything it would be evidence of a new day.

Agreed Sid. Living in Lansing Michigan I've seen more than a few Soo locomotives here, some in pretty good shape.

I've never seen a Milwaukee Road engine outside of a museum. But I haven't seen a Soo Line diesel in 2 years. The last one I saw was an SD60 sitting in the yard at Savannah, Illinois.

On CP's Nitrin Sub. in april, a train just like this, and i mean JUST like this, went by my house for 3 weeks. until it was hauled away to St. Paul for a remodel. Then just a few weeks ago, the same train went by on the Davenport Sub. southbound for IC&E's Nahant Yard. Great photo and what is that guy thinking parking his car on the tracks?
