I think this is a great idea. They could have sent this engine to the torch instead they made it into a museum piece that tells how steam engines worked. This is a wonderful thing to show the young people who have never seen a steam engine, in it's full glory, working on the high lines and short hauls. Mitch, you may say "Oh, the hunamity", but I think this is the very best that could have happened to this magnificant locomotive. At least it still lives on and it's still serving the railroads.

I agree, David - I was just thinking from the perspective of the engine, lol. It is in fact a very well done and informative display.

More Museums should do things like this! Not only to preserve the steam locomotives but to be informative instead of just sitting and rusting!
