The most hated locomotive around,computerized junk.When I got out of the Navy in 1974,nobody wanted a thing to do with me.A sorry SOB at the Pacific Electric building in LA of the SP said he didn't care about me being a vet,I was not getting a job with SP,period.In those days you had to be a female,or black,I'm not racist,but that's the way it was back then.I read an article in Railroad magazine about PennCentral needing firemen.So I went to Philadelphia and talked to the VP of personnel and told him my story.He said around here,if you are a vet,you get a job.My original seniority date was Nov.26,1974,retired on Jan.4,2011.

I never liked these desktop controls when Conrail had them. Always preferred a control stand.
