Posted by Bill Caywood on August 2, 2013  These SW1's got to be so old that EMD stopped supporting many of their parts. One of those parts was the small fans that were located side by side behind the front grille. Several of these have had their as built fans replaced with a larger EMD roof mounted fan as is seen here. Washington Terminal had one of these conversions, and may still operate it.
