Absolutely magnificent. We were gong to meet my brother at Portsmouth, Va. and on our way through Richmond I spotted this or one of it's brothers and made my dad pull over to take a better look. At age 6 I had never seen anything as big as this thing was. I'll bet I stood there at least twenty minutes looking at that thing with my dad at my side I might add. We would both probably still be standing there if it weren't for my mom.

Is there any chance the Norfolk Southern might get this or their 611 running again? It seems like railroads have been a little more interested in running steam lately.

There is an effort underway now to bring the 611 back out under steam next year.
