I agree with your comments...the engineering boys at UP did a great job when they designed and built her (the same comment can be equally applied to her smaller cousin the challenger). I'm glad one of the 8 remaining Big Boys (#4014) is getting the nod for restoration by UP! It'll be a good day when a Big Boy pounds the rails again!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think you've been starring at too many Big Boys! No matter ones aesthetic take on the old lugger, your photo does it more justice than most. I will say that I'll miss 4014 when they take it away from Cali, because UP is guaranteed not to send it back any time soon.
