More power to you folks and best wishes on this project, but, please pick up and store the cover and headlight some place where they won't be damaged. (This is the voice of experience speaking.) Thanks for the picture, Steven

This was right after we removed them. Afterwards, we put 58 away and the headlight and number plate in the shop. The smokebox cover will be fine outdoors, and only in the way indoors.
