I used to rail fan the ERIE-LACKAWANNA / ERIE LACKAWANNA and its divisions from BUFFALO,NY to JAMESTOWN,NY HORNELL, NY! Thank you for sharing the EL photo it brought back memories

George, thanks for posting this Griffith shot. I spent many a day railfanning this spot from 1972-1976 (now a bike trail). The E-L is sadly missed. It was at the Colfax Street crossing where i spoke to an EL freight conductor on the last day of operations. It was a sad conversation as the conductor said he had no interest in working for Conrail and was retiring with 31 years of service. He said the "Erie" was his home. From E8's passing thru to big new SD's on the next freight, Griffith Junction was THE place to be.
