Note the missing lower control cabinet door on MM&A 5016. In the United States, this would be a Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) defect since electrical cables are visible (and accessible) through this opening. Doors that cover electrical cables/wires must be closed and securely latched on all US common-carrier locomotives.
