When I visited Cass in the early 70's, I think only two steamers (both Shayss) were in running condition.

It is probably safe to say that even though a Challenger and a Shay are steam locos with lots of wheels and cylinders, a Challenger run by and a Shay run by are definitely two different flavors of run by. But, man, five geared locos alive and hot in one place in the 2010s, cool!

That's quite a commanding view, Walter! I was wondering if that little DJI Quad-Copter overhead was yours. At least you had the sky all to yourself. I can imagine that in a couple of years, there will be dozens of attendees showing up at this event with some sort of UAV. I think our friend Joe is not only going to have to manage the photo-line, but he'll have to become a sort of air traffic controller as well!
