The only photo on RP of this famous viaduct! Have you any more Fabrice? I wonder if passengers would be allowed to get off a train and wander over to the edge like this today? This 434' (132m) high viaduct, highest in France (and for many decades highest in world,) has the highest piers ever built in traditional masonry. Classic location captured beautifully with steam! What does Z sign mean?

Z means restricted speed. Nowadays, this viaduct is threatened. It's a shame.

Yes Z is the beginning of the speed restriction. This line (Volvic-Lapeyrouse) is closed since 2007-08-12
