Actually, the 2nd unit is a "DD35," not "DD35B."

Actually, the third engine is a DD35 and the second engine is a DD35 B. There is no spartan cab on the second unit, therefore it is a "B" unit.

No, actually the third unit is a "DD35A" and the second is a "DD35." EMD came out with the cabless "booster" version first, which they called the "DD35," then when they added the cab they called THAT the "DD35A," to differentiate it from the cabless units.

I stand corrected, I made a mistake with the designation of the units. Sometimes I see the "B" unit described as a DD35B, in fact it is a DD35 and the third unit is a DD35A. Thanks for the clarification.
