I wouldn't characterize the stealth scheme as a "failure." It's not as if the paint fell off or anything. CSX got flack about its lack of visibility, and reacted by applying yellow ends to everything that moved, which was equally unattractive. This actually doesn't look like a "stealth" unit, but looks like one of the earlier CSX paint schemes with the additional blue paint at the top of the nose/cab, which actually was a pretty attractive scheme before the yellow was slopped on as an afterthought.
