Some people will do almost anything to produce a unique photo. In light of the reliability of Amtrak schedules or the lack thereof, I would suspect that that someone spent a considerable period of time in the cold in order to achieve this result. I'm impressed.

I have to agree Bruce. I would also suspect that that someone did not read their comment before clicking the submit button. To everyone-please please proofread before submitting. thank you.

@Bruce, not necessarily. A quick call to Julie @800-USA-RAIL will let you know when #6 will be arriving. This photo location is not hard to get to. John might have been sitting is his vehicle listening to music and drinking a coffee and simply lowered his window to get this shot. Oh and John...Awesome shot regardless of the effort involved!

That's an unique photograph if I have ever seen one. Great effort - superb result.

Desktop background worthy for sure! Perfect for the weather engulfing most of the country right now!

What Carl said above is probably true, although maybe John was drinking some hot chocolate instead. ;-) Bruce, there is a residential street from where this shot was taken, and prior to Amtrak being in this location on the Big Ten Curve, John probably bagged a shot or two down the hill in Coal Creek Canyon. An easy shot to get which requires little waiting and little standing in the cold. However, his effort to be there at the right time and snap the perfect frame during the blue hour is what matters the most. Great job, John!

Gorgeous shot John. Well done! (No matter how easy or hard it was.)

Trifecta! And every time I look at this my eyes are drawn to the lights on the cars on 93. Little red dots just speeding along. :-)
