Trains in the forest. In my way of thinking they somehow go together and that this combination is part of United States history. Nice shot. Nick!

As I viewed this again I thought about the fact that few people get to see this kind of perspective out in the middle of nowhere! Just a thought!

Nick - I know this is two years late, but this is one AWESOME photo, and I admire you for getting this one! I got to looking at this photo again, and then searched Google Maps for this location. If I'm looking at the satellite imaging correctly, and if I looked at the only location on the rail line that this spot just HAS to be - I am more amazed and impressed with this photo. I have to ask one question: Where did you find the "pack mule" you must have needed to get to this location to take this photo? From what I see on Google Maps...there is NO ACCESS to this location at all by ground - meaning there are no roads, or trails, or anything where you could get a motor vehicle in there. You had to use a horse or pack mule - or hiked the railroad right-of-way! What type of hiking equipment did you need? Was there a "Native Guide" to lead you through the forest? All I have to say is: AMAZING and AWESOME!! You truly went above and beyond for this one! My hat is off to you sir. Well done!
