Posted by Stephen Hellmann on February 2, 2021  I can recall a couple trips on the Chief where we picked up a BNSF locomotive. Once in La Plata Missouri and once somewhere west of Kansas City in the night. I assume that an Amtrak engineer continues to operate the engines, but I wonder?
