Would be neat to know what was in that single car. Ozark had a grocery wholesaler (M. O. Carroll) but it was located on the Coast Line. If this is an interchange car, that makes this photo even more special than it already is!

This out-and-back turn was still (in 1975) a scheduled freight over a 60-mile sub. It likely had a 3-4 man crew. CofG/Southern experts Bernie F. or B. Smith may shed some light on your question.
