I was disappointed by the news. That we're scrapping active rail in the 21st century is unbelievable.

What cracks me up is how much were supposed to bend over backwards for all these bikers and groups of people who moved to the wilderness to get away from the crowds and now they want to bring them to the place that is quiet and peaceful cept for a train once in a while . So your riding your bike you get a flat and whatever happens and you cant fix your bike or your broken arm and its getting dark and its 10 miles to town and its getting dark coyotes are howling and oh oh theirs a pack of wolfs , oh look theirs a grizzly bear behind that tree looking at me. Darn it I left my 12 gauge shotgun at home to save weight. With all the people comes all the trash and animals love Cheetos to and they smell you coming, and its dinnertime, and your kids are with you to M M good. The animals wish they could say " look just leave the Cheetos the leftover bbQ ribs the cookies and you can go , oh yea ,leave that lasagna and all those beers " Cheers !Save the railways dont take them away they are very important for freight and people and light rail. Bwise.

Awesome photo Aaron - and yet frustrating to know that the future of Adirondack Scenic Railroad operated and kept alive by a vibrant and valiant group of volunteers is about to possibly be "dismissed" as "unnecessary" by the State of New York. And Toby Schwartzman - that's Democratic Governor Andrew M. Cuomo looking to squeeze out and get more money for the State's own personal bank account at the expense of hard working volunteers trying to save Railroad History. History doesn't matter - money does! If scrapping rail puts money in the State bank account - that's what will happen. Volunteer operated tourist railroad's don't pay taxes and so they don't contribute to the bank account. State of New York owns the right-of-way, they'll shut it down and get the money from the scrapped rail.
