From the worn and steel plate construction look of this GG1 while looking at the thumb nail photo, I thought that this was GG1 #4800 (the first built GG1 - Old Rivets). I guess #4879 just has that well used look after 40 plus years of quality service. The PRR boys at Altoona can sure be proud of the service and performance the GG1's had. Thanks for sharing.
