This is near where the old Toccoa Casket company was. Interestingly enough, the switch for the Wye is a spring switch. Also, not far from here, behind Tugalo Gas Company, you can see the remnants of a coal dock from back when coal heating was used. (Used to live in Toccoa.) Also, at one time there was an Icing platform somewhere near where the crossing on Doyle street is.

One of the things I remember about the route, was the less than stellar maintenance that the track was in. At one point where the track paralleled route 17, there was a broken tie that was actually raised up almost to the rail head. The line just struck me as being almost abandoned, and yet they were running a train a day.
