These are certainly long overdue for a repaint. All the better that it's into the Ph. III scheme!

Nice catch, Rich! Serendipitous, even with the perfectly placed CSX freight. I like the placement of the P32 against the bright river background. And, yes, the silhouette is a nice touch!

I do like this shot, Rich! To and fro.....another busy day of commerce in the Hudson River fjord. The silhouetted engineer and the nice sharpness to the Storm King cliff are excellent bonuses.

Thanks for the remarks. Bruce, when I set up for this shot I was framing for the other side (freight traffic) knowing the commuter trains could be zipping through from time to time as they come and go in a matter of a couple of seconds at their speed. It's hard to hear them coming sometimes when they are southbound as the tunnel muffles them and they can sneak up quick and I'm glad the screeners looked past the one tree that got in the way as I had to reset real quick and the end result is it has provided some good viewing interest to the viewers with the amount of views.

I should have added that you got yourself elevated just enough to pull off a perfectly composed foreground-background combination. Even though there is typically quite a bit of traffic on both sides, I don't think I've seen another photo from the Hudson Valley pulling this off quite so well.
