Very nice Mike! One photo in yard limits is a million times better than zero photos anywhere else!

When BC Rail purchased these mean green machines they were routed west over the Milwaukee Road. Must have gone from Chicago to the Twin Cities then to the Twin Ports to the CN. The only reason I remember this was I was going east on a Milwaukee freight and I remember we met three of them on the Ford train near Oconomowoc,WI....they sure looked neat. Built on the L&N specks with those Leslie 5's I'll bet they sounded neat too.

I regularly saw these O&W units after they were sold to BC Rail. They got new numbers but continued to wear their O&W livery for many years.

Thanks for the great story to go along with your photo. I tell my 11 year old son to "Take Pictures of the everyday stuff, you never know when it will go away".
