Thank you for this photo. My company carried these locos from Newport News to China in the mid '80's. Brings back a lot of memories.

I am so glad for you reply and many thanks for your effort to carry these wonderful locomotives to China. ND5(C36-7) is one of the most popular locomotive around Chinese rail fans (I am a crazy fan of ND5) and most of them have served for CNR for almost 30 years. ND5 also has a deep influence to Chinese locomotive industries.

I hauled several groups of these locomotives from Butler, Pa. to Connellsville, Pa. on the B&O Chessie System. They were wrapped in tarps for their ocean journey to China.
