I am concerned that the switch is bad for the engine. However, I am sure the crew fully knows this. From what I understand, first class is the only way to describe the WW&F modus operandi. Nice shot Kevin!

On a run-around at this location, the switch typically remains lined for the main until the locomotive reaches its location. The train's Conductor will typically board the locomotive as it passes the train and ride with the engine crew up to the switch. The switch will briefly be lined for the siding to allow the locomotive out onto the main, and the re-lined for the main to allow it to back to the consist. All is well in the scene pictured here.
