You know, many of your shots look like the set of a 'Tremors' movie; very desolate and moody. I can feel the heat from back east. Yet a very interesting set of photos. Thanks for sharing.

"[V]ery desolate and moody." - I'm glad you see the image that way, as this was the "look" that I was going for when I composed it (I wanted it to look "big"). The Sonoran Desert in this area is rather desolate with El Centro being 25 miles east on Interstate 8, and San Diego being located about 125 miles in the other direction. While it was not particularly hot on this day in March (in the low 90's) it can get to 120 - 130 degrees in the sun out there during the summer months (not a good place to have car trouble).
