Given the unloved status of 6000 horsepower diesels, I have to wonder whether or not a GM10B fleet would have been considered to be just too powerful.

There's scant info online about this locomotive. It had dual-control stands with a notchless throttle. A hostler reported that road engineers told him that when running long-hood forward, it was like riding a boat in a storm.

I had always wondered if a passenger version of this motor could have been a suitable replacement for the woebegone E60s. After all, is it one-and-a-half AEM-7s.
